Our Mission
Heart Attack Ethiopia is dedicated to establishing a sustainable cardiovascular care landscape across Ethiopia and beyond. We provide life-saving cardiac procedures and work towards creating a robust healthcare system. Our journey starts in Ethiopia, but our vision extends to other African countries with a high prevalence of cardiovascular diseases.

Through our mission trips, we are providing life-saving procedures for 120-150 patients per year.
On average, an open-heart surgery costs around $8,000. However, in Ethiopia, the average annual per-capita healthcare expenditure is $33 per person.
The average life expectancy of people with severe symptomatic rheumatic heart disease is less than 6 years without treatment.
